Draw, snip, cut, paste……it was a frenzy of colour at Chrysalis High, Kadugodi ’cause we were setting the stage for The Grand Carnival!!! On this beautiful summery Sunday,on the 27th of March, 2016, prepared with open arms, hearts and pockets for the carnival that promoted charity. A heart warming initiative to raise funds for the little children of Zion Foundation, the event saw a sea of humanity participating towards this noble cause.
Stalls dotted most part of the open spaces in the school compound. There were stalls featuring rides like Round-a-bout, Giant wheel, Toy Train, Crazy Castle. The games were Toss the ring, Knock the tower, Hungry clown, Tambola and Spin your Fortune. Crowds welled up at Transfigure, Mehndi, Tattoo and Face painting. Kurtis and Tupperware also rubbed shoulders with Jukebox. There were several counters to tickle ones taste buds. The food on offer was popcorn, candy floss, cake, brownie, cocktails, pain puri, butter milk, brownies, chocolate fondue, gulab jamun, samosa and sandwiches. The crowd puller though was the Gola stall which saw students, parents and teachers queuing up for the cold Gola to beat the heat. Last but not the least, the Art and Craft stall that displayed children’s handiwork towards the charitable cause.
Students and teachers cheered and marketed these wares with much gusto and enthusiasm. It was a lot of fun with a noble thought.
With a whopping collection of Rs 1,11,000/-, we couldn’t have asked for more…..
